The EyeSpace Software will automatically analyse the corneal shape. Eyespace will intelligently design an appropriate Forge Myopia rotationally symmetric (spherical) or toric orthokeratology lens with the given corneal topography data. The treatment zone diameter is further optimised by adjusting the lens design from a low to high myopia design, based on patient’s spectacle prescription.
Variable Back Optic Zone and Myopia Design
The new and improved Forge myopia design has a variable back optic zone diameter (BOZD). This enables you to override the size of the treatment zone, maximizing the optical and myopia control effect.
Does your patient complain about halos at night? Increase the BOZD to enlarge the treatment zone diameter.
Current Myopia Control studies show that the treatment zone should be small when fitting young progressive myopes. Manually change the BOZD to follow the current Myopia Control fitting philosophies.
